Now, before you start thinking of reasons why this can’t be the case, allow me to explain…

Trauma is perhaps the most misunderstood and misconceived concept in the dictionary.

Most people think of trauma as the consequence of a single, highly intense life event…

But through years of professional study, of personal trauma healing and working with hundreds of others through their own healing, I can promise you faithfully, that’s not the only definition of trauma. We are waking up to this more and more as a society.

Trauma isn't exclusive to survivors of war, natural disasters, or abuse.

Trauma doesn't only spur from a single catastrophic life event involving violence, death, or disasters…

It can be much less obvious, smaller events that we may have experienced at various points in our lives like financial struggles, neglect, bullying, parental divorce, rejection, etc…

And once coupled with prolonged or repeated exposure… they can cut just as deep causing us to live in a state of nervous system dysregulation…

LIKE A THOUSAND PAPER CUTS THAT NEVER GET A CHANCE TO HEAL.

This type of trauma is called Complex Trauma and it results from chronic exposure to emotional and relational trauma in which an individual has very little sense of control or ability to change things in the ways they need.

And I’m dedicated to helping people understand it, and as a result - to learn how to transform the way they live their lives.

These types of traumas don’t explode…

They erode you. Quite literally, slowly but surely, numb the vibrancy of the magnificent human that you are.

And sometimes, we might not even realize the trauma we carry in us due to how well our coping mechanisms (often self-sabotage & toxic patterns) continue to function…

And there’s absolutely no shame in that because they’re often overlooked by society and sometimes by therapists too!

However, if you don’t recognise this for yourself, and keep overlooking things for too long…

You run the risk of experiencing persistent feelings of shame, self-doubt, helplessness, and guilt throughout your adulthood…

But a huge concern is that it can also lead to a highly dysregulated Nervous System which can cause long-term hormonal issues, digestive issues, immune system issues, and even act as the launch pad for a handful of frightening illnesses.

And, it’s often very physical, too.

The baseline patterns within our nervous system are set very early on in our life and unless addressed later on… they will be carried throughout your adulthood.

For those of us that were fortunate enough to get everything we needed in early childhood, great! 

We ended up being privileged enough to live within a body and nervous system that has connection, safety, regulation, and balance as its foundation.

But unfortunately, the vast majority of us weren’t that lucky and never got what we needed to THRIVE internally & externally. 

Instead, we were left with an internal legacy of internal chaos, fragmentation, physical health issues, and nervous system dysregulation.

Who am I to teach this work?

 
 
 
 

I'm claire…a trauma coach, somatic practitioner, psychologist and integrative health specialist with over 15 years experience in the mind-body connection and nervous system.

My approach is gentle and paced, soulful and science-backed, generously resourced and radically compassionate…



For years I was struggling with the effects of nervous system dysregulation and unresolved trauma and I had no idea. I had suffered from an eating disorder and a very disconnected relationship to myself and my body based around a lot of self-neglect and shame. 
I suffered from IBS, low self-worth and feeling really stuck in my life and career. I tried a lot of things - which did all help to a certain extent - things like changing my diet, mindset and affirmations, meditation and yoga….But when I started to work in a trauma-informed way, somatically with my body and nervous system - that’s when things really changed. 


It wasn’t overnight, because this kind of work is not a quick fix, but as I learned more and more and continued on this path I had the deep knowing that I made sense, that there was hope, and I began to feel safer and safer inside myself; to undo chronic patterns of tension and constriction and fear, to feel a new sense of freedom, inner authority and confidence in my life, and I had access to a feeling of groundedness and vibrancy in my body. 


I started to engage in new behaviours, to make new choices and connections in my life from within this greater embodied safety and aliveness….


And I’ve dedicated my life to the study and science of what this really means, in order to gift this wisdom to as many people as I possibly can.

Because, the tools to continually work on root-level trauma healing is the greatest gift anyone can give you.

How is this program delivered?

Via a mixture of online learning, live classes and 1:1 feedback (on the DUTCH test results and protocol). The 12 Principles of Transforming Trauma are held as online pre-recorded content that you will have immediate access to and will continue to do so long after the programme ends. Inside the online hub there are also the 4 Pillars of Transforming Trauma, which are indepth psychoeducational teachings and holistic health guidance on the mindbody connection, focusing specifically on the 4 key areas of : 1) Trauma & the Nervous System , 2) The Adrenals and Stress Axis, 3) The Thyroid and 4) The Sex Hormones. These are key areas / systems impacted negatively by trauma and chronic stress, and therefore getting more empowered to understand and address these areas is key to a 360 degree total mind-body healing and works beautifully alongside your DUTCH test results.

Calls are hosted on Zoom, will be recorded so can be accessed and watched/rewatched as needed.

There will be an online Vibrant Woman hub where all the somatic nervous system practices will be uploaded and available for easy access and downloading. In the hub there will also be extra online teachings on all things holistic and nervous system healing.

How do we communicate with you and the Vibrant Woman Method Community?

There will be an online community via Slack (this is an App that’s easy and free to download and means we have a community space outside the usual realms of social media (phew!). I will be available in this online community space to answer any extra questions you have, for extra support, and it is also a space where we can share together as a healing collective of women. You can use this space as much or as little as you like - it’s up to you and what feels right.

How is this programme different from other programmes I might have done before?

This programme is specifically designed to help you heal at the biological, physiological level. This is not just another mindset/manifestation/ ‘think positive’/‘love and light your way into abundance’ course! We are working at a deep nervous system, somatic level - which is precisely the level we have to work at if we want to move beyond the patterns of the past and experience deep and lasting change in our whole way of being.

I’m worried I’m too “broken” what if healing isn’t possible for me?

I know that stepping into a journey of healing and fully committing to walk this path can be scary and overwhelming, especially when you have tried other things that haven’t worked. But, and please hear me when I say this, you are not alone. Most of my clients believe they are “broken” when we start working together. You are not broken. You don’t need fixing. You just need to finally be empowered with all of the right tools and knowledge to come back home to yourself. This is exactly who The Vibrant Woman Method is for. I made this space for you. 

With that said, if you are in a place with your mental, emotional or physical health where you are not able to engage with the learning and practices, then this probably isn’t the wisest decision for you. This programme is a commitment in time and energy and in order to get results we need to be in a place where we feel confident we can engage with the learning and work. 

How much time do I need to commit to the programme?

The live calls will be 3 times a month for 1 hour. 

Each live call twill be uploaded into the hub for your to rewatch/ catch up on when you can.

The minimum time needed to commit fully to this programme is approximately 2 hours a week. However, how much you spend outside of the sessions engaging with the learning material and practices could be much more than this.

Will I have access to the course content on-going?

Yes! All of the materials on this course are yours to keep.

Is this going to be the only thing I need to do to heal my nervous system?

This course is going to teach you what you need to know and do in order to re-shape your nervous system and move out of the physiology of survival. We will be rewiring our brains and bodies and laying key foundations in our nervous system so that we can move beyond the programs and patterns of the past to create a new way of being, living and feeling.

If you have experienced very severe traumas, depending on where you are in your healing journey, it is possible and advisable that you may also seek 1:1 support, which can be done alongside the nervous system healing work in this programme depending on your individual needs and circumstances.
